Ibn ʿArabī (Arabic: ابن عربي) (July 28, 1165 – November 10, 1240) was an Arab Andalusian Sufi mystic and philosopher. He was also known for his explanation of Tawhid (oneness of God) through the concept of Wahdat ul Wujood (Oneness of being).
He is renowned in the Muslim and non-Muslim world as Sheikh ul Akbar (The greatest master) and also as a genuine Wali (friend of Allah) as attested by 9th century scientist called Jalal ad-din-Suyuti, he analyzed verdicts of different scholars and gave final conclusion that he was a true Wali of Allah (friend of Lord Almighty).
